Desire doesn’t curl in my belly—it hits me like a two-by-four. And then it does it again. And again. And again. Until my hands are curled in Hudson’s hair and tugging, until my legs are wrapped around his hips.
And still he drinks, long, sexy pulls that have my breath sticking in my lungs and my heart beating way too fast.
“Please,” I murmur as he finally pulls away and licks a path across my skin. “Please, please, please.”
But he’s already kissing his way down my throat, nuzzling the collar of my shirt out of the way so he can have better access.
“What do you want, Grace?” he asks in a voice so deep, I have to struggle to understand the words.
Or maybe that’s not him. Maybe it’s the way my whole body has collapsed in on itself so that the only thing I can think to say is, “More. I want more. I want you. I want…everything.”
Hudson groans low in his throat and I think his brain must have short-circuited, too, because he freezes like he doesn’t know what to do first. Like he’s completely overwhelmed.
But then he whispers, “Are you sure?” against the sensitive skin behind my ear, and I realize he’s just being Hudson. Just taking care of me the way he always does.
Except I don’t need to be taken care of right now. I just need to be taken.
“Of course I’m sure,” I growl even as I grab fistfuls of his hair and yank his head back so that our gazes meet. “I want you, Hudson Vega—I want us—more than I’ve ever wanted anything in my whole life.”
For one second, two, Hudson doesn’t say anything. He doesn’t move. In fact, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t even breathe. But then, all of a sudden, he’s spinning us away from the wall and holding me up with one hand while he uses the other to rip my sleep shirt over my head.
And just like that, his mouth is everywhere.
Racing along my jawline.
Licking its way behind my ear.
Pressing long, lingering kisses across my collarbone before sliding lower.
As he does, I let my head drop back and arch my spine to give him better access. To give him all the access.
We’ve been living together for what feels like forever. Been watching each other for months and dancing around each other for weeks. After all this time, after all those stolen glances, his mouth on my breast feels like spontaneous combustion. His hands on my skin feel like a promise that’s finally being fulfilled.
