Hudson shifts a little, growls deep in his throat. The arm he has wrapped around my waist pulls me even closer, until our bodies are plastered together and any distance we had between us—real or imaginary—feels like nothing more than a memory. And still, I press closer, still I want to feel more of him. Feel all of him in all the ways one person can feel another.

My fingers are already tangled in his hair, and I twist them harder, relishing the feel of the soft silk twisting around my fingertips as I bind him to me a little more with each breath we take.

Hudson’s growl is louder this time, his body and his hands and his mouth—oh God, his mouth—more insistent as he holds me tighter, drinks me deeper.

And somehow, the pleasure grows even more intense, until I can’t breathe under the onslaught of it all. I’m destroyed, totally ruined, my body nothing but an empty vessel begging to be filled by him.

Begging for more even though a part of me can’t imagine there ever being more than this.

Begging for everything Hudson has to give me. Begging to give him everything in return.

I whimper low in my throat, and Hudson pauses for a moment to check if I’m okay. “Don’t stop,” I whisper urgently in his ear. “Don’t stop, don’t stop, please don’t stop.”

This time, his growl fills the room, echoing off the wall as he bites deeper, pulls harder, sending ecstasy arrowing to the very heart of me. I cry out as my body goes up and over, my hands shifting from his hair to his shoulders in an effort to hold myself while my knees turn to water and my blood turns to steam.

Nothing has ever felt this good. Nothing else could ever feel this good.

Hudson drinking from me is a total sensory overload, where the deepest pleasure and the sweetest pain meet and mingle inside me until there is nothing else. Until there is only Hudson and me and this one perfect moment out of time that I never want to end.

But eventually—like everything—it does.

Hudson pulls back, pulls away, and I clutch at him with desperate hands. He smiles against my skin before gently swirling his tongue over and around the bite marks he’s left just below my ear.

“Okay?” he whispers against my ear when I press my hand to the back of his head to hold him in place.

“More than okay,” I whisper back. Then, using every ounce of strength I have left in my body, I lean back just enough to see his face. “You?”

He grins. “Never better.”

That makes me happy. “Yeah?” I ask with a little smile.

“Oh yeah.”
