  70. TO CONTINUE THE ADVENTURE…
  71. ABOUT THE AUTHOR
  72. ALSO BY KENDRA

When no other people come running through the woods where I am, I decide now is as good of time as any in this hiding spot to go through the duffle bag again and prepare for what I’m going to have to face. I don’t know how big the island is, or exactly how many people were released with me, but I can only assume most ran off in different directions, spreading outward on the island. Hopefully, it’s a large enough island where I’m not constantly running into the others. Hopefully, they all kill each other off before they remember the one woman.

Digging around in the duffle bag, I find a pair of cargo pants that are too big for me but there’s a belt that I can cinch down as tightly as possible. The belt is too long though, so looking around, I find a decent rock, set the belt across it, and use the knife to punch a new hole through it for the buckle. Looking around quickly, I stand and tug the cargo pants on over my dance outfit, thread the belt through the loops and buckle it tight enough I’m not in danger of losing them. I pull a black t-shirt from the bag next. Putting it on, I tie it at my hip so it’s not as baggy as it would be normally. It still swamps my frame but it’ll have to do. When I have more time, I’ll either cut off the sleeves or try the black tank top in the bag instead. Right now, I don’t know what kinds of bugs or critters might be on the island, if I need to worry about flies laying their babies in my skin. If I’m digging out worms, we’ve got an issue.
