There seems to be a new respect for me in the air. Row is looking at me like he’s a little afraid of me. Jiro and Achilles look almost proud. Creed, I think Creed is surprised I have it in me but we’ve been on this island for eight days now and it’s clear only the cruelest survive. I’ve never been above revenge and now that Loyd is taken care of, even if I die on this island, I’ll feel better. At least he’s rotting with the Prey. At least he’ll never take another woman again for his sick games.
I’m tired of everyone thinking I’m some weak little woman in need of protection. I’m tired of being underestimated. They wanted warriors and beasts on this island as their Prey. They shouldn’t be surprised when that Prey bites back. Fuck these assholes. Fuck the rich fuckers who play this game. Fuck the other Prey who are playing the game for money. Fuck them all.
I’m pissed off and I’m tired. I’d kill for a shower and a hamburger. The urge to kill some more is strong which is new for me but still there. I pity the Hound who appears right now and tries to fuck with me.
As we check around the area for cameras, we find plenty. I flip off every camera we find until I destroy them all. Sometimes, I stomp on them to really get some anger out. Sometimes I toss them into the ocean. I will no longer be their show pony. Row claims I’m well known by the Hounds, my face plastered for all to see in their compound because I’m a woman and not meant for this shit.
Well, the joke’s on them. I’m starting to settle in, and I’ll be the beast they wanted.
We settle down on the rocky cliffs, just inside the trees. Making camp is difficult with the jagged rocks but we do the best we can. Eventually, I find a decent spot to relax into where two rocks join together. It almost makes a chair and would be comfortable if not for the threat of being cut. Achilles has the right idea with his little tree hammock. He ties it between two of the thicker trees and relaxes into the hammock like a king. I glare at him in jealousy even as we discuss the plan.
“We’re going to need more weapons,” I point out, pulling my pistol out of my pocket and setting it on the rocks before us. Everyone else does the same along with their bullets. “I have two clips left for mine.”
“I’ve got a handful of bullets left,” Row admits, searching through his pockets.
“I have a single clip for my pistol but plenty of knives,” Jiro adds, setting his gun on the center.
