Ask him for a 30-slide mini-deck. And he’ll make a 45-slide regular deck. Ask him to work till 7.30 p.m. He will sit in office till 10.00 p.m. Ask him to submit a report by lunch, and he’ll email it first thing in the morning or even sometimes the night before. Which is fine if he is working in his grandfather’s consulting company …
BUT WHY DOES THE FUCKER HAVE TO DO THIS AND MAKE ALL OF US LOOK BAD???
Now because of him Dominic makes everyone else work harder. (Except RoboKurt. Who is anyways not a normal human being.)
The worst thing about James is that sometimes he shows enthusiasm on behalf of other people. THIS IS SO IRRITATING DIARY!!!
BLOOD IS BOILING.
So we’ll be sitting in the morning meeting generally throwing around ideas. Hassan or Rahul Gupta will say something casually like: ‘I wonder if these guys are making enough money from prop desk trading …’ I may not understand this completely but I nod along and say that this could make an interesting area for investigation. (Which is what we normally do in such circumstances.)
Not for James. For James this is a challenge that must be faced immediately. Before everyone has had a chance to say anything James will pull up some data, suggest an analysis and then immediately ask for volunteers to pitch in. I don’t mind volunteering but the fucker will then commit to some unrealistic deadline as if he is getting Param Vir Chakra from Dufresne for bravery.
And then chutiya makes everyone else run around. Bastard.
I am jealous of Kurt. But I truly hate this man.
Overall Einstein threat level: Very high. This is exactly the sort of brainless enthusiasm that will impress Dominic and eventually make James Mair CEO of Dufresne. He is not only an active threat but also a passive one: he sets stupid standards that are hard for other people to meet. (I can, of course, but I don’t see the point.)
6. Rahul Gupta, India/New York, Vice-president/Arrogant Bastard
Technically speaking even he is not competition. He is a VP. There are two or three levels before I can reach there. Still no harm in briefly summarizing his characteristics.
Consulting talent: Chutiya.
Talent and potential: Chutiya and chutiya.
Personality: Chutiyamax.
Overall Einstein threat level: Ultra high. But there is nothing I can do about it.
In summary he is a chutiya.
Good night. Dying of sleep.

Diary, you will be happy to know that despite my continuous crisis with culture in London I decided earlier today to give the city of London one more opportunity to impress with its culture and heritage. As you know there is a popular Malayalam proverb that if you try something and fail, you must try and try and try again till you succeed.
Unfortunately, despite trying again and again and again, my attempts have failed spectacularly. Even though I made 100 pounds.
