And then suddenly Sugandh said that he also had some excellent multimedia collections on his computer in the office that he could share with me. I told him I had too much work in the office and had no time for such distractions.
Then he asked me when I had downloaded Mohra.
I told him I had downloaded it many years ago.
He said that he had checked the network logs and he could clearly see that I had downloaded it from the apartment’s wireless network.
I told him that this might have happened accidently while I was using the computer.
He told me that he had to report this to the apartment manager as it was in violation of their online net usage policy.
I told him that Dufresne was looking to hire IT people for senior positions in London and in other cities around the world and he seemed like a bright prospect.
Sugandh said that mistakes could happen to anybody and he didn’t see the point of discussing it with the manager. However he was wondering how he could apply to Dufresne without having a good resume.
I told him that I was known in certain circles as the Rembrandt of Resumes and I would be more than happy to create a masterpiece for him. And then we had this conversation:
‘So I will come tomorrow sir? For making resume?’
‘No Sugandh. I am very busy tomorrow. I will give you a call when I am free.’
‘Oh no. No problem. I will ask the manager to help me …’
‘What nonsense! I am free tomorrow after office. Why don’t you come around 8 o’clock?’
And then he left.
MOTHER FUCKER SUGANDH BASTARD!
I have a bad bad bad feeling about this …
FUCK FUCK FUCK. I AM GOING TO DELETE THAT SHAGG FOLDER AS SOON POSSIBLE! BLOODY THING IS GOING TO GET ME INTO SERIOUS TROUBLE ONE DAY. DEFINITELY IN A WEEK OR TWO I AM GOING TO ERASE IT COMPLETELY.
Going to bed now. Meeting with Dominic.
I am somewhat bothered by Tom’s insistence on limiting the Dufresne team to seven.
9.00 p.m.
I have an idea. Dominic might like it. Hmm …

Today, Diary, I would like to introduce a new concept into our vocabulary. I call it the … (drum roll …)
SPARK OF BRILLIANCE!
Now Diary I know exactly what you are thinking. You are thinking as follows:
‘Oh my god. Einstein is going to say something wonderful about himself again. Unbearable! Why is he so arrogant? Why is he talking like those IIT fellows in business school who think they know everything in the world just because they cleared one stupid exam that leaks every three, four or five years? Ok fine. You have a very steep career path. But there is no need for this level of self-reputation …’
