Update: Dominic has asked us to make one copy of all our reports and documents right away. As part of the Dufresne immunity deal we are sending everything to the investigating team. Rahul Gupta will coordinate the hand over of drives and files.

Another hour of copying and pasting. And then home.

Will call Gouri tonight. For all her negative points—anger, frustration, revenge, expensive Apple laptops, wax statue, Shah Rukh Khan, video-taping, handcuffs—she also has an ability to calm me down when I am tense or upset.

I am not tense or upset. But there is so much happening around me. If I was a Lederman employee I could at least panic in peace. But when you are a consultant … it is difficult to sympathize with small clients.

8.10 a.m.

Woke up early to talk to Gouri.

In the beginning she was nice and supportive. And then she asked me if I was involved in any of Tom’s dealings. I got very upset. She was asking because till June I had apparently been a complete kanjoos. And then suddenly I started spending money.

I was enraged. I screamed at her for questioning my integrity.

Was on my mobile phone. Otherwise I would have crashed the phone down on the cradle.

Was hoping she would ease my pain. Instead she just took a knife and stabbed me in the exact same place where I had been shot earlier.

9.15 a.m.

Where is Sugandh? The manager just called me to ask. No one in the apartment office seems to know.

Strange.

Everything is strange nowadays.

Bore Atlantic is now trading at $7 a share. Down a total of 92% since I first invested.

2.56 p.m.

HORRIBLE RUMOUR CIRCULATING IN OFFICE … TOM HAS CONFESSED TO THE SEC???!!!!

FUCK.

WHAT HAS HE CONFESSED. OH GOD OH GOD OH GOD. DOMINIC LOOKS DEVASTATED.

4.23 a.m.

I have been up all night watching CNBC. In between, during the advertisements, I have been crying a little bit.

Bore Atlantic is gone. The government is pushing one of the big banks to buy her for peanuts. My investments are essentially worth the exact same peanuts.

Thankfully this is taking up all the coverage on the channels. Very few people are focussing on Tom Pastrami. During interrogation yesterday Tom broke down and admitted to a whole range of irregularities. He then gave them a long laundry list of dubious dealings. Bloomberg put up the whole list online. It is a huge list of names and deals and banks.

But unfortunately it also includes Dufresne Partners and the Lederman Learning Through Laughing Foundation. Because the list is so long, no one is really paying attention to any of the individual companies.
