(Don’t know who the other fellow is. I hope he is not Scottish or Irish. Have you heard them speak Diary? Whatever they say makes people, especially women, laugh excessively. Their accent is very dangerous.
One of the Lederman guys is either Scottish or Irish. Sometime he speaks to me at length about some project idea or data point. And even I, in spite of my 100% focus on ladies between 18 and 32, feel a shiver of attraction rise within me. But then I quickly call Gouri or buy a copy of the Sun to compensate. Who is this other comedian? This is beginning to bother me. Hopefully Emily Cunningham will have good taste in her comedy.)
There is a meeting tomorrow with Emily and some other Lederman Corp Comm people.
Honestly speaking I can’t wait. The Lederman–Dufresne project has been very boring recently. Dominic has asked me to focus on analysing the US banking market and look for growth opportunities.
So stupid no, Diary?
That is like asking me to go to Saudi Arabia and look for petrol? Or go to Brazil and look for football.
Nonsense.
LLTLF should be much more fun.
I can already feel a tingle of expectation running up my body …

Okay. I have good news. And I have bad news.
First I will tell you the good news.
UNBELIEVABLE NETWORKING HAPPENED TODAY!
LLTLF is off to a spectacular start! Who would have thought when I undressed the statue and all that things would turn out like this?
You will not believe who is personally going to look after LLTLF.
THOMAS PASTRAMI HIMSELF!!! THE CEO OF LEDERMAN!
If you remember he was the one, last year, who really understood the meaning of my vision for Lederman which I explained in detail through the unfortunate yet visionary voicemail.
Later when I moved to London we shared a few words during a Lederman party. But we’d never really hit it off at a deeply personal level. I had always regretted this. But then both of us got caught up in our work. This could change all that!
The meeting, in the 14th floor staff canteen, was attended by Tom, an irritating fellow from accounts, Emily Cunningham and a bunch of volunteers including yours truly.
To be frank I had gone into the meeting optimistically but with quite realistic expectations of how hot Emily Cunningham would be.
Let this be a lesson to both of us Diary.
Just because a woman has a traditional English-sounding name we must not rush to conclusions. So far I had been under the impression that girls with traditional English names like Smith or Brown or Jenkins would either be too short, too plump or too unclassy.
But this generalization is very unfair to the hot ones like Emily Cunningham. Emily is sophisticated, articulate yet voluptuous. In fact she reminds me very much of that second heroine in the Fawlty Towers TV comedy show.
