“I’ma get at that nigga and have a long talk with him. I ain’t give up on him yet. After I put his head on straight, we can talk about that formula. Yoooooooo cuz. Trae fuckin’ with that crazy, rich Asian bitch . . . that play right there, set him up lovely. I don’t know what type of deal your brother cut with them, but they definitely rocking on some boss shit. Yeah. And we all get a piece of the action because we played our part. They called; we came. So the formula is all of ours. And trust me when I say it, the shit is gonna rock niggas socks! Wish you was here. We would be taking over and running things like we used to. But trust when I tell you, shit about to pop. You already know what’s good. For real though. The only problem I see is convincing them niggas to let me get on right now. They tryna sit on that shit. I’m like nah we got the formula so let’s work it now. Why the fuck we gotta wait? Let’s get this paper while we got the chance, shit. Them niggas talking that ‘wait until the time is right’ bullshit. Like you always say, when it comes to the game, them niggas is pussy. They still talking about keeping shit squeaky clean and—"

Ding!

We were about forty-five minutes to an hour outside of New York City. I cringed. It was a lot to take in. I would have never thought I would be back in Jersey, at least not to stay. I did not want to leave Georgia, but things had gotten hot and we had to go.

Lil’ Faheem was murdered less than a year ago, but it still felt like it just happened yesterday. Faheem acted as if he was releasing himself from the tragedy of his son being gone. But he really wasn’t. It broke my heart to see Faheem go through such a trying time, and the fact that Oni, Lil’ Faheem’s mother, had caused the death of their son due to greed made things worse.
