  43. Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health

What a day this was. I am so glad to have my baby back. I couldn’t believe that my poor, harmless baby was caught in the crossfire of some bullshit Mari had going on. And Trae had just dropped two bombshells on me. First, he said my brother called saying that he was kidnapped and then he told me that he handled Charli. He finally deaded that bitch. Originally, I didn’t want him to touch her because I feared the backlash. But fuck it, she would no longer be a threat to us, and neither would Mari’s crazy ass. The only thing was Don Carlos was already calling them to take the next flight out. I hoped this wasn’t the backlash that I was anticipating. After we were told about Faheem’s condition, Trae was only concerned with using Don Carlos to make sure he got the best treatment money could buy. He needed Faheem back to his old self or even better. And knowing Trae, I’m sure he will make that happen.

KEVIN

The pain that shot through my body as I slid across the floor had me wishing I was dead. All I needed to do was get out of this house and get somebody to notice me. I didn’t want to die. And it would be a miracle if I survived any longer. I kept saying silent prayers that I would make it. As long as I made it long enough to get my revenge on Seven a nigga didn’t mind dying. But that bitch was dead, the moment I got my hands on her. How could Don Carlos play me out like this?

Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health

Was I the only one in the room whose knees buckled when the discovery of a mental health crisis was being battled by one of our favorite Thugs?

I almost hit the floor. And in todays climate while also addressing the growth of the characters it was timely and I couldn’t do away with it once it hit me. I just made sense.

I am not a doctor or an expert in the Mental Health Field. But mental health issues going untreated is plaguing our communities. It could be a loved one tough as nails or weak as water, we all are subject to it or experienced it or know someone who is mentally ill

Again. I am not a doctor or an expert. But the facts show that we as a black people who has suffered over 400 years of servitude slavery and we have not been treated (PTSS); we as a black people have been suffering and is suffering from PTSD through decades of incarceration. Incarceration that affects everyone in your family. Especially your immediate family and again no treatment.
