- Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health
Hmmmmmm. Something was brewing. Why would he strike? Them two are clashing heads? But why? Charles Li said one thing that stuck with me. “You can only get out of this life with blood.” Now I see it was the same school of thought with Don Carlos. We could never walk away from this life, wash our hands clean, and go 100% legit. Not without blood. “What are you proposing?” I asked.
“I need you two to go to Beijing. There is a Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency Private Roundtable that I need you to have a stake in. And there’s some diversity needed. I assure you, you will be richly compensated— more than either one of you have earned with the Li Organization. In addition, we must solve our newly inherited territory issues. Both Beijing and the territory issues need to be moved on simultaneously. I trust that you will choose the right men for the job. I am aware that you both have baby and touring issues to be dealt with presently. But if you’re in, sacrifices will have to be made because we must move immediately. You will receive further instructions once you get there. You will have protection for your family.”
“Territory issues. Won’t this bring war?”
“Always thinking ahead, Trae. But a war?”
“That depends on how we play our hand.”
“Yes, there are territory issues in Beijing. But I also mean territory issues right here in my own backyard. Or should I say your backyard. But more on that later.” Don Carlos shrugged. “There is still a marker on both of your heads, that I am trying to clean up. Kay, in that last meeting with Li, you were warned to get out of LA and never come back. But you did. You violated by going back and forth to get Trae out of prison.”
“I had to do what I had to do. Trae wouldn’t have left me hanging. Don’t forget I have that information on the Li Organization that I used to walk out of that meeting alive.”
“That’s why your marker keeps going up. But you called in one of my markers, I’ve called in yours so that 3.5 is no longer on the table.”
The Don looked serious. “He will never dismiss Trae’s violation of his daughter. Do you really believe for a second that he is going to forgive and forget?”
I thought about it. Everything Don Carlos just said was true. That pit bull attack on his daughter . . . Charles Li wasn’t going to let that slide.
The meeting lasted less than forty-five minutes. We were left with the illusion that we had a choice in the matter. And talking about coincidence? This Seven shit was unbelievable. Don Carlos’ love child? And that love child who was running a territory, named her son after him. I couldn’t make this shit up.
