  43. Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health

“Well, I don’t. I’m fat. I’m miserable. I hate New York. The kids are driving me crazy. They miss you. Kaylin kept lying to me and being sneaky. You stopped writing and hadn’t called me in forever. I didn’t know what was going on or what happened to you. I’m pregnant as hell, as you can see. And it was looking as if I was going to be going through this pregnancy and birth without you. I’m raising three rough ass boys and have another baby on the way. I am beyond stressed out. Baby, I was at my boiling point.”

“Damn. Is there anything else?” he teased, as he leaned back waiting for me to add more shit. I felt forty pounds lighter after getting all of that off my chest.

“Whatever, Trae. You know it’s not everything. But hell, my baby is home now, and I feel my Swagswayzee coming back already.”

“Oh, so your man is bringing your swag and your sway back?”

“My swag and my sway,” I teased, propping my hands on my wide hips. “Swagswayzee.” I liked the sound of that. I was actually smiling.

“Well, good. Now wipe the snot off your face. You got my shirt all messy.”

“Whatever.” I kissed him on the lips, snot and all. I wobbled to the bathroom to get myself together. I swear, I loved that man so much.

When I came out of the bathroom, Trae got right to the point, as usual. “We both are going to need your swag and your sway to get us back right, the way we were and the way we are supposed to be.” The elephant in the room needed to be acknowledged, and Trae wasted no time doing so.

Shit, eight or nine months ago we were living separately, beefing like a muthafucka, and I was on my way to filing for divorce. And it was all behind that egg noodle ass bitch, Charli Li. The number one reason I couldn’t stand the smell of Asian food to this day.

I had been up against my share of crazy bitches, but this ho had money, determination, and she wasn’t trying to leave my husband alone. So, I retaliated by tripping the bitch, causing her to tumble down a flight of stairs, ashamed to say, while pregnant and by fucking the next nigga, Kyron Santos. I hated saying his name just as much as I hated saying hers. But Kyron wasn’t just any nigga. The nigga was close to the family. Hell, he was family. It was fun getting that revenge but then it turned fatal.
