Then I went back to my laptop and sent a brief email to the CSR sub-committee to say that the surplus in the LLTLF corpus had been invested wisely as per discussions with the top management. I thought about cc’ing Tom and mentioning him in the email. Then I decided against it. Why unnecessarily involve a criminal?

IT IS OFFICIAL! The SEC in the US and the FSA in the UK have launched a probe on Lederman’s acquisition of FarmersCard. CNBC is reporting that the authorities are working on a tip-off from an insider. That the investigation will be centred around Thomas Pastrami.

No mention of Dufresne, LLTLF or Lederman II in the reports so far. But there is chaos in the office. Valentina has spent the entire evening shredding documents. Dominic is nowhere to be seen. And Rahul Gupta has been on the phone all the time.

Sugandh is nowhere to be seen. Now that his job is done, maybe he has already flown back to the US?

Till the investment happened I was feeling 30% positive and 70% negative.

Just got off the phone with Gouri. She’s heard about the scandal as well. She asked me if I was ok. And then she asked me something …

Gouri wanted to know if this meant that Lederman would cancel the Dufresne project. If so, would I run out of money in London?

But also this reminded me THAT MY ACCOUNT IS ALSO FULL OF FRAUDULENT CASH! RIGHT NOW THERE IS OVER 40,000 POUNDS OF EXCESS DUFRESNE FAKE SALARY IN IT!!

If there is an investigation in Dufresne I am going to get screwed. In the hurry to clear out LLTLF’s account I had completely forgotten about my own situation.
