I looked on as the two women that I loved were locked in a stalemate. They glared at each other in a Mexican stand-off. I could tell by the look on Kyra’s face that she didn’t give a fuck if she was pregnant or not, she was just waiting for Nina to bring the slightest move.

What the fuck did I get myself into? They both were hell bent on not allowing our good thing to work.

ANGEL

Don’t make a scene. Just walk with us, a voice barked. At first, I was thinking he wasn’t talking to us. But when I turned and saw three dudes in janitor uniforms, I tried to remain calm. These niggas had rolled up on us with guns. We were about to get jacked.

“Yo, son, tell your wife to keep going. You have to come with us,” the light-skinned one told Kaylin.

“Aiight. But just make sure you let my wife go.”

I held Kaylin that much tighter.

“Baby, go ahead home. I’ll be there later.”

I panicked. “No!” I blurted out. “If they take you, they gotta take me, too.” I balled up a fistful of his shirt. If they wanted me to turn him loose, they were going to have to cut off my arm.

Pow!

I woke up, twisting and sweating.

Kaylin was shaking me. “Baby, are you having that nightmare again?” I looked around the room. He hugged me tight. “Yo, we good, baby, you’re safe. I got you. But, babe, same dream back to back to back. That’s not healthy.”

“I know, I know, but it was so real this time,” I said, trying to stop trembling.

“You said that the last time and the time before that, Red.” I hoped this wasn’t an omen and I hoped Kaylin wouldn’t send me back to therapy again. “We need to find out why this is happening.”

KAYLIN

I took Angel to dinner at Daniel’s, one of my fave five, a restaurant in New York. Jahara and Aisha were spending the night with Jaz and Faheem, so the night was all about us.

The lobster bisque was on point, but the intimate ambiance was really what you were paying three hundred dollars a plate for. It was worth every dime. The whole time I couldn’t take my eyes off Angel. I was so excited to be having another baby, and she already had that pregnant glow. She kept her eyes on me. It was as though she and I were the only ones in the place. Red was using her foot to play with my dick under the table. We were giggling and shit, taking turns and feeding each other like we were straight honeymooners.

The foreplay had me overly anxious to get home and beat the pussy up.
