- Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health
I saw them drop off Angel. Now I knew where she lived. If I had to, I would make her life a living hell as well. Angel was cool, but she was Tasha’s friend, so her loyalty never lied with me. I made sure I stayed on Tasha’s ass. I followed them to the pediatrician’s office where I waited in the lobby. I saw Trae leave alone. He seemed as if he was in a hurry which was great for me. Tasha didn’t have any back up. I knew that I finally got the break that I had been hoping for, and I thanked God for it. I already had a passport to get out of the country; we were going to visit a colleague of mine in London. I’d take my new daughter, and we would start life all over. This would make what I went through with Kyron worthwhile and complete.
I was so glad when Tasha finally came out to go to the bathroom, I didn’t know what to do. I thought that I was going to pee on myself. I damn near beat her inside a stall. I used the bathroom and waited until I heard her get to the sink. Call me crazy, but a bitch had to do what a bitch had to do.
“Don’t open your fucking mouth and keep walking, or I’ll shoot you right here,” I said in a low voice. “I’ll grab the car seat. You grab the diaper bag. Do as I say. Head down the hall to the stairway.”
“Mari, are you fuckin’ stupid?” Tasha snapped. “What do you want? Give me my baby.”
“Bitch, you better listen to me. Don’t try me. Turn around and head down the hall. And you know damn well what I want.”
“No, I don’t.”
“I’m holding what I want. Kyron’s baby.”
“What are you talking about? Bitch, you ain’t stupid, but you damn sure crazy! Look at her. Trae spit her out.”
TASHA
I still couldn’t believe my ears. I didn’t see Mari as the type of chick who would go to this extreme. I knew she was crazy. But now, I realized this bitch was bat shit nuts over Kyron’s ass! She pushed me out of the bathroom as we walked slowly down the corridor. I was feeling petrified for my baby. I also felt empty carrying only her diaper bag and not her car seat. How could I get caught slipping like this? Most of all, how could Trae leave me and his baby?
