- Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health
“Go unlock the door and let my daughter in.”
Red jumped up and hit me twice with the pillow before unlocking the door and letting our daughter in.
TRAE
While at the dining table, we did manage to bring the ladies up to speed with almost everything. There was no way I was about to tell my wife or any of the ladies I had to fuck Charli in order for us to get home.
We told them the Cartels were beefing and wanted us to pick a side, Kendrick was sweating us to release the Fentanyl formula, which was the new drug that was fifty times stronger than heroin, and about Charli Li pulling strings to get us out of China. We didn’t say she was there. They had to admit that it was a bit much but since they wanted to know what was going on, we gave it to them. We told them we are now made men. There was no turning back. We were living foul, and they were a part of it.
Kareem, Shaheem, and Caliph wrestled with me until bedtime. When I wasn’t holding my baby girl, the boys were all over me. I hadn’t had a chance to really be with my big baby— my wife. After she nursed the baby, she lay her in the bassinette; she dozed right off.
Tasha grabbed both of my hands and looked me directly in my eyes. “Trae, I was thinking that I’d never see you again. But I kept praying, trying to stay positive. And you’re here. You know my head is spinning, and I want to talk. You threw me for a loop when you said that bitch Charli came to the rescue. What happened? What did she say to you? Did you fuck her?”
I shook my head. I didn’t want to talk about it. I wouldn’t talk about it. “Baby, we’ll talk about the business tomorrow. I’m home. I just want to be with you.”
“That bitch, Trae—”
I placed my lips to her ear. “I’ma have to handle her. She’s not going to leave us alone, Tasha. I just have to map it out.”
Even though Charli came to my rescue, she still had a motive and I knew she wasn’t going to leave me alone.
She and Mari were both on some other shit and I was tired of my family being fucked with.
Tasha simply looked me in my eyes. “Handle her at what cost? Our luck is bound to run out one of these days, and my biggest fear is that moment that I’m told that you are not coming back home to us.”
