- Wahida Clark on Mental and Behavioral Health
Charles Li? Damn. What a way to go out. And he walked right into the trap? The boss got his throat slashed while his dick was hanging out of his pants. In a matter of seconds, Charles Li was gasping for air and choking on his own blood. The assassin holding the knife, placed the bloody blade to his lips, confirming or signaling that this was a silent assassination carried out Carlos Cartel style. Another man motioned for me and Trae to follow him. We were whisked down the stairs and into a car.
Our business in Shanghai was done.
FAHEEM
Reunited. I peered through the binoculars as the helicopter smoothly touched down on the helipad of Don Carlos’s mansion on the outskirts of New Orleans. His mansion was housed on what looked like an old plantation. The porch wrapped almost around the entire house, or shall I say the veranda. The Louisiana heat was as thick as gumbo as it swirled around Kay and Trae from the force of the helicopter’s blades. Their shirts and pants being beaten by the breeze. But it was cool and crisp inside, the way I liked it. As soon as they hopped onto the golf cart, I headed downstairs for the celebration. I made my way down to the large study with cathedral ceilings and Mammoth Mahogany bookcases against each wall. Everyone was already there except the three of us. I was called in to have my first meet and greet with the Don. He figured this would be the best time. I got the impression that he wanted me to learn a few things and be there for moral support with Kay and Trae.
There were eight Carlos Cartel members in the study. I made nine. Don Carlos, ten. He was seated in a big, cocaine white, leather chair. When Trae and Kay stepped through the wide double doors, he stood up and started clapping and the rest of the room stood and joined in.
I could see that both my mans had lost a little weight. Those Chinese muthafuckas obviously weren’t feeding them.
As I took a seat in the back of the room, I watched as Enrique, Don Carlos’s nephew, kissed Trae’s left hand first and then Kaylin’s. All them muthafuckas went down the line.
