“I’m in love and have babies with two different women. I love them both. I can’t choose now or ever, and I won’t.”

I was so glad that Kevin had gone to Miami to some music conference that Diddy was hosting.

After I bathed and put Carlito to bed early, I took a bubble bath and slipped into a black, fitted Emanuel Ungaro dress. I had seen Taraji P. Henson rocking it in the Marie Claire magazine. I wore open-toed, trimmed-in-rhinestone Saint Laurent stilettos by Anthony Vaccarello. I was smelling good with a squirt of Bond Central Park perfume. I pulled out matching diamond earrings and a Chanel necklace which draped softly between my décolletage.

I picked up my cell to call Faheem, and he answered on the second ring. “Hello,” I said.

“Who is this?”

“Seven.”

“Siete.” The Spanish rolled smoothly off his tongue. “What’s up?” He had my heart racing at Siete.

Damn, ever since the shower I couldn’t believe how bad I was yearning for him, Trae, Kaylin and I was even looking at Kevin in a whole new light. My hormones had been raging. Kevin was personal, but Faheem was all business.

“I’d like to talk to you.”

“I have a minute. Talk.”

“It’s a business proposition. I need to see you in person.”

“Where’s Kev?”

“Gone for the weekend. This will be between you and me.”

I asked Faheem to meet me at my house in the next hour and a half. Two of my spots were robbed and workers were killed. I needed muscle, and I needed to consult with someone familiar with the game and who wanted what I wanted. To take over. I saw it in his eyes. He was just like me. He had an unquenchable thirst to rule the streets. And from what I learned, he was all about his business. Unlike Kevin, who knew that our business was at risk, yet he was off to some music conference somewhere and still talking about taking it slow.

As soon as he walked in, my heart leapfrogged between my legs. My panties were soaking wet. I saw the look in his eyes when he saw how well I was dressed. I flung my long, curly hair to the side. I had him and that was exactly what I wanted.

“Calm down,” I told my kitty kat under my breath. This here was all man standing in my house. I took a deep breath and began to talk business.
