Finally satisfied with our discussion, Nas slowly makes his way over to me and extends his hand once again, something I realize he does often. “None of what we discussed takes place up here,” he says. “Come with me. Saying it is one thing. Seeing it is another. So, there’s something I have to show you.”
I bite my lip as my brain runs wild with ideas of what he could mean. Once again, Nas has me on the edge of my seat, but it doesn’t stop me. My darkness would never allow me to stop anyway. This is the start of what our relationship will be all about. He will be my Dominant, and I will be his submissive. He’ll lead, and I’ll gladly follow. This is just the beginning, so I take his hand, and let Nas lead me toward the basement.
Chapter Twenty
When we reach the bottom of the wide staircase, I’m surprised to find more bookshelves first. I notice the black shelves are completely filled with books like the ones in the library upstairs, but when I look closer, I see that these books aren't fiction. Every book down here is nonfiction, and as I step closer and slide one of the books out of its place, I realize why.
“The Loving Dominant, by John Warren,” I whisper as I look at the simple cover. I push the book back into its place and pull out another. “Sacred Kink, by Lee Harrington.” Then another. “Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns, by Phillip Miller. MS 101, by Jay Wiseman.”
I push the books back into their homes and turn around to look at Nas waiting patiently at the bottom of the stairs.
“These are all nonfiction books about BDSM and kink play,” I state matter-of-factly.
“Like I said, I take all of this seriously. It’s who I am,” Nas says, his face proud and confident.
“You’ve read all of these?” I inquire as I turn around and look at the four bookshelves—two on each side of the room.
