“That’s what I’m talking about, girl. Let that man twist you into a sweaty little pretzel, and then come tell me all about it.”
“You know I will.”
“That’s my girl … what was that? Did I just hear a car door outside?”
My eyes widen as my body stiffens. “Don’t play with me.”
“I’m serious. I think Mr. BDSM is here.” Juliana launches herself off the couch and goes to the front door to look through the peephole, then she turns to me with a smile. “Alright, Alina, it’s time for your fantasy night to begin. He’s here.”
“Oh, shit,” I chirp as I stand up and straighten out my dress. “I’m so nervous I think I might have a stroke.”
“Have a stroke after he fucks you senseless,” Juliana whispers, and I want to laugh, but my sense of humor is snatched away by a knock at the door.
I do my best to shake away the nervousness that has my knees weak as I walk over to the door and place my hand on the knob. Juliana moves back to the front of the couch and stands there, grinning. We look at each other like we know my life is about to change forever and we’re remembering the good old days. She smiles at me and nods like a proud mother watching her daughter leaving for the prom, and I do the same, before turning the knob and opening the door to Nathan Booker standing there in white slacks, and a white button-up with black buttons. My mouth drops open and I nearly stumble back from how good he looks, and Nathan's eyes roam my body from top to bottom as he smiles.
“Damn,” he says nearly under his breath as he shakes his head. “How is it possible that you look even more stunning than yesterday? I mean it, Alina. You look incredible.”
“Thank you,” I manage to mumble. “So do you. It looks like we matched our outfits.”
Nathan chuckles—a sound that nearly takes my breath away. “Yeah, it looks like we did. Must be meant to be. You ready to get this night started?”
I exhale as I step forward. “Yes, sir.”
Nathan flinches, pinching his lips together like something inside him is tempted to come out by my response, but he keeps it at bay and forces a tight smirk. “Good. Let’s do it.”
Chapter Eleven
“This is a really nice car.”
“Thank you. I’m glad you like it,” Nathan says, keeping his eyes on the road as we cruise the highway with the tinted windows of his black Mercedes up, and the green Delaware scenery passing by.
