And we come back to my place and she says, “You owe me two bags.” And I say, “Why?” And she says, “’Cause I took you to my cop spot.” And I said, “I got beat at your cop spot, you bitch.” And she starts yelling at me and shit, but, man, fuck me if I’m going to lay two bags on her for gettin’ ripped off. Plus, she never paid me for hanging in the first place.
Suddenly she gets real sweet on me and says, “OK, just gimme one.” So I do. And then I bang a bag and it’s not as good as what she had, but it’s OK on account that my dealer knows I’m trying to get straight so he wants me to have a good taste. OK. No. There’s none left. ’Cause I closed my eyes for two seconds, next thing I know, Carol’s gone, my dope’s gone, the front door’s open and Snowball’s out on the landing barking her furry brains out.
So I’m kinda high but I’m also pissed off, so I jump up and run to the door to get the dog back inside before she gets kidnapped or some shit like that, but I’m running so hard that when I run out my door, I keeps going and I goes right off the landing—CRASH-BOOM—down the stairs all the way down by where the mailboxes are.
And Snowball’s standing at the top of the stairs kinda lookin’ at me, she’s not barkin’ anymore she’s just giving me this look like, Why’d you do that? Right? And I try to move but I can’t so I figure something must be broken. And the assholes who live in my building are coming into the building, like checking their mail and stepping over me. No one’s helping me up. And I’m yelling. Somebody must a called EMS, ’cause about forty-five minutes later these two black dudes show up and throw me into the back of this stinking van somebody must a died in there. Lots a people probably died in there come to think of it.
So they like take me to the ER. Kinda drop me off on account of I could walk on one leg. I guess if you’ve got uncontrollable bleeding from a head wound or some shit like that, then they put you on a stretcher. Me they just dumped.
