Well, maybe I’m getting a big head about myself here, but I think, maybe, maybe I changed things for the better just a little bit, just one little bit. If one homeless person can sleep indoors tonight because of what I’ve done, then I’ve done my job. I can say: “I told America—you have a homeless problem.” And I did. And you know a portion of the receipts from the picture go directly to homeless relief. Which is cool. You know?
Well, I did move out of my old place, I lived on Sunset for ten years and as exciting as I find street junkies and male hookers to be, it was time to move on.
Last week? Last week, seven million. So far, we’ve grossed sixty-seven million, four hundred and thirty-five thousand. But who’s counting, right?
No I don’t have five Porsches!!! Shit, where does the media get this stuff? Three Porsches, man. But you know man, I’ve always liked Porsches. They were just something I’ve always wanted. And it’s like, why not? You know?
Yes, I did just sign a new deal with Seminal for two million a picture, but you have to understand that they won’t pay me the money if I don’t make them the money. I mean that’s what it’s all about. And the thing is that I really want to make movies that make money and I want to reach people.
I really want to get my message across … Hmmmm? Well, it’s just that we should all love one another and hope for a better world, and, um, that, uh, if we all work together and stop all this hate … I mean, I don’t want to be radical about any of this. I think that people who take a radical point of view really cut themselves off from everybody else. I don’t want to do that. I was at a show just a few days ago in New York, this Armenian comedian was at this place on the Lower East Side. Interesting stuff, the guy’s talented. But nasty, you know? Like negative. And how many people come to his show? A hundred? No one hears his message. Millions of people hear my message, man.
