“Nas?” I call out, reaching the bottom step and making my way up. When I reach the middle of the stairs, I hear a door slam shut from somewhere above me. “Nas? You here?” I call again, but don’t get an answer.
As I step onto the final stair, a door opens to my right and I find Nas coming out of a dark room. Just seeing him takes me right back to our dynamic from last night, and I feel the urge to call him Sir and let him do all the kinky things his mind can come up with. Aside from the moments when he’s been naked enough to have his cock out, this is the most dressed down I’ve ever seen him. He steps out of the room wearing black shorts with a white tank top and a black robe draped over his round shoulders. The smell of coffee wafts out of the room as he tries to slowly close the door behind him.
“Good morning,” he greets as he steps over to me and pulls me into an embrace. Nas smells like cocoa butter and seduction this morning, and his muscles tightening around me remind me of how sore I’ll be the entire day.
“Morning,” I answer. “I was surprised you weren’t down there when I woke up.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry about that. I woke up early to get some writing done,” Nas says, and my eyebrows pop up.
“You were writing?” I ask, before my excitement gets the best of me and I ask another question before he can answer the first one. “Is that the room where you write?”
Nas pinches his lips together and plasters on a smile that looks forced. “Yeah, it is.”
“Oh, my god,” I chirp. “Can I see it? Would that be okay? Not to get all fangirly on you, but even after everything we’ve done, you're still my favorite author, and I’d love to see where you work. Sorry if that’s intrusive.”
Nas shakes his head. “Nah, it’s okay. I don't mind showing you.”
Nas turns around and pushes the door to the room open before flicking a switch on the wall and lighting up what I can now see is a gorgeous office. Just like the library upstairs and the entryway leading into the Kingdom, Nas’s office has walnut-stained bookshelves on three of the four walls, while the fourth wall has a giant window looking out onto a pond I didn't even know was there. In the center of the room is a walnut-stained desk covered with scrap pieces of paper, notebooks, and a closed laptop. Nas walks over to the chair behind the desk and places his hand on top of it, watching me as I walk around the space, taking it all in.
