- About the Author
True say. When the Gods did learn that Meth Head and Artemis had also perished in the poisonous cloud (as well as Centrifuge in the freezer truck before them) they (the Gods) were plunged into rage and depression that this shit had taken 3 of their own. There was another heated gathering in their Council Chamber place, incl a lot more speeches, hand-wringing, trading of insults and opinions and comparisons and all manner whataboutery etc all basically wondering what to do. But at least in this instance there was something grounding in the majority attitude – that the destruction was a terrible thing – and everyone who wanted to speak had a chance to do so and get stuff off their chests.
It had been Codswallop that first spotted the bodies of Meth Head and Artemis and reported to the rest. For weeks in fact she’d been sneaking back to the pool in the forest at night and under cover of night, pushing past the fences erected way back by old Robocop and his sidekick, nursing her hope and her heartache to maybe see her daughter Valiant down there, alone and making her way on the cruel Earth ©. In her long hours of looking tho Codswallop never did seen Valiant, but that night, unfortunate and then double mega heartbroken, like a victim of her own eyes, she had caught site of Artemis and Meth Head on the roadside not that far from the crashed car, the driver (Janine) slumped dead already at the wheel, the other two a 100 metres or so away, their once strong bodies knotted on the tarmac where they fell, hands clutching throats, eyes bulging and skin already a colour of rotten concrete. The whole scene was a terrible site, worse to look at than a terrible painting of the World War One or the fall of Troy or whatever and the radio in the crashed car was still playing its ironic commentary from a interview w the company spokesperson that “everything is OK”.
