When the gas hit the health care system immediately became overloaded – medical staff were unprepared for the 1000s of casualties and doctors and hospitals were not aware of proper treatment methods for that kind of gas inhalation. Gas cloud most likely also contained chloroform, dichloromethane, hydrogen chloride, methyl amine, dimethylamine, trimethylamine and carbon dioxide, that was either present in the tank already or was produced in the storage tank (?) when the contents all chemical reacted.

Up in Olympia the mood was pretty grim in light of all this events and the Gods were watching the disaster replay, some of them directly on livestream, others just catching up on summaries and compilations of ‘best bits’ at the end of the day. Some of them – Dalek, Plankton, Shiva, Penelope, Orion, Agemamenon etc – thought there was a kind of karmic or basic political justice to the way these kind of things were coming round or repeating – reflecting and refracting back on Empire as they saw it – and thus were like generally OK with it, not liking the loss of life but, you know, why should the brown bodies always be the ones to take the shit? Others meanwhile, like Thor, Thesuses, Kit Kat and even Jukebox were sickened by the disregard and waste of human life all over again, as well as by the scale of the miss-management, angry at the U. Carbide board and Exec team for the 2nd time and what seemed like yet another set of questionable safety systems and failsafe controls – as if all the intervening years, careful worded apologies, protracted court cases and supposed changes in safety regs and had meant nothing. Two wrongs didn’t make a right said Goldilocks and there were many there that agreed w her. For the rest of them tho, they dint know what to think, it was beyond thinking they said, they were just really sad and angry to see so many ppl die so fucking horrible unnecessary deaths, unable to get the sound of all the constant wretching, weeping and wailing out of their minds all over again. Whatever they signed up for when they signed up (?) to be Gods they said it pretty certainly wasn’t this kind of brutal rinse and repeat cycle, there had to be like easier ways to get by. But of course the worse was yet to come.
