For the Avoidance of Doubt
For the Avoidance of Doubt
One day all the Gods of Endland (sic) started drinking at lunchtime for no particular reason and come late afternoon kind of regretted it – getting increasingly snarky/being too long in the sunshine and/or wishing they’d not had that last glass of Rum or whatever/or wishing that someone – most likely themselves – had not lost or not sat on their fucking sunglasses. All over Mt. Olympus rows were breaking out all and anywhere, incl. old ones resurrected and entirely new ones just appearing out of nowhere, voices raised, plates smashed and a couple of punches thrown before even 3pm was not a good sign.
It was always the same when the booze was involved tbh and if you asked Odysseus or anyone else of the older crowd of Gods – Carthorse, Xylophone, Mr Crinkle, or even Aspidistra – every1 just needed to KEEP CALM THE FUCK DOWN A BIT AND TAKE A DEEP BREATH, but obvs no one was asking them, they wasn’t even asking themselves. It was like the poets say “as if a all too human madness gripped them”, tho in true truth it was more like the kind of foolishness that always gripes Endland whenever the sky is blue and there is a air-traffic control strike or the weather is any warmer than 20 degrees.
