- About the Author
OK. Jesus had laundry to do and he took it to the Laundromat and it took him a while to figure out the machines, but after some time he was all set and the laundry was going round in the washer and he just started to read the magazines that was lying there on the bench like Cut-Throat Weekly or Shame of Satan but before he had chance to get truly settled into it he noticed that lying down by the Dryers there was a wounded Lion. The Jesus was startled at first but he was not afraid so he went over to the Lion. And the Lion looked at him and for a moment it shimmered a bit like it was not good CGI but then it stabilised and then it held out a paw and showed that it was wounded – there was something called a THORN embedded in it, stuck into the paw, like a nail was driven in there but made of something else. The Jesus bended down to try to help the Lion but then the poor injured animal flickered again, then faded completely and was gone. By this point some Hells Angel bikers were stood in the doorway looking on and they asked the Jesus what was he doing, or what did he think he was doing and he said that he just wanted to help the Lion that he found there, but it was not a real Lion, so it did not matter; he would just go back to reading his magazines and the Hells Angels/Biker Dudes all nodded like they could see that this was a reasonable explanation.
That is the Beautiful Story of Jesus and the Laundromat, said the guy from Jesus People. Do you want another story about Jesus? Perhaps one of the Confusing Stories?
No, she said not tonight. It is OK. I am tired. Frankie will come around later. I want to save energy for him, he also lives in another world, another reality she said. So it takes more energy to communicate with him.
No, said the man from Jesus People, that Frankie you speak of cannot live in another reality. That is not true facts. True facts is one reality. You are talking more in metaphors.
Yes, she said.
Metaphors’ said the man from Jesus People – it is a way to say something, express something, but it is not reality.
Yes, she said.
This kind of thing also goes over pretty big in some of the Stories about Jesus, the man from Jesus People continued.
Yes? She said with a question in her voice but not really that interested in the answer.
Yes, said the man from Jesus People. Like in the Horrible Story of Jesus on a visit to the Orthodontists. A lot of that is metaphors.
Oh, she said, really not wanting to get into another story and esp not a Horrible one that might put her in bad mood before Frankie came around.
