Later the same night the Jesus People called again and asked her if she knew about Jesus and she said yes, a little, she knew a little, but not really that much. And the Jesus People said would she like to know more and she said sure that would be nice. It was a night of constant persistent rain, it is easy to see why she might have needed some help after a separation or loss, especially on a night like that one. The Jesus People said OK, they would tell her more but they needed for her to please call back and reverse the charges because they could not afford to pay for any more calls that night, because so many people had wanted to know more about Jesus. So, she said OK, yes, if that’s what it needed they could call back and reverse the charges – and then there was some long drawn out procedures with the telephone operator at the telephony exchange but in the end they were re-connected. And the Jesus People asked her what more she would like to know about Jesus and she said just tell me one of the Beautiful Stories.

So the guy from the Jesus People said sure. I will tell you the Beautiful Story of Jesus and the Laundromat. Is that OK?

And she said yes, that was OK.
