  48. About the Author

Guard opened the door. Leeham kneed him in the balls, beat him w fists and kicks and grabbed keys from his belt. OUT into the corridoro and locked door, walked quickly away thru E wing, thru a maze and tangle he wunt later even remember and then out of a unexpected implausible door on the side of the prison that proved his hole narrative untrue except the door was really there and real and he opened it and was gone, suddenly out upon the street that looked amazing and and freedom and Great Uncle Dole Man was in a car already engine running at the Kerbside, it was like a old movie, the Radio playing some classical pop song whereof the refrain was like:

Lucrative but risky corporate loans.

Clumsy male gestures of affection.

Mental exercises intended to separate sounds.

Political tensions exacerbated to create on-screen drama.

Endless re-inscription and policing of outdated gender norms.

Largely-boycotted elections, internationally considered to be a sham.

Poor business structures and obnoxious marketing practices

Broken playground equipment.

As the radio played on they drove a long time w/out speaking, just listening the lyrics and watching the landscape skid by. Then Leeham saw after a while that he and Great Uncle Dole Man was getting tired – his (D-Man’s) head nodding at the wheel – and at L’s suggestion they stopped at a kind of humble roadside kiosk run by two Jihadist brothers returning from Syria, eating some kind of sandwiches that you cunt really be sure what was in them. The chat was all about the Rusha and the Americuh and also how fed up they all was of Endland (sic), the two brothers laughing more or less good humoured moaning about what was going on and how it would make good sense to put the whole country in some kind of a freezer for a long time to get rid of the microbes.

When they left the place and they back on the road again Great Uncle Dole Man asked Leeham if he himself experienced Racism in Endland (sic) on account the colour of his skin. Leeham shrugged he don’t really wanna talk about it. Great Uncle Dole Man said OK but there was something he wanted to bring up namlely that in that country it was hard to say what was the worse kind of racist they experience on the spectrum of racist from 1-10, 1 being a bit racist and 10 being very racist .

Leeham laughed.
