- About the Author
Later, as the heat grew very great and Plaster fell ashen to the floor Valiant brought her upright again and seated her at the desk, once more taking out the book they had found back @ that place in the underside called The Old Gods of Endland, placing it on the desk against the wall of the portacabin and sitting herself there beside her friend, the 2 of them taking turns to turn over the pages, reading the short texts that went with the pictures. The old story of Ajax and Domestos, the tears of Electrolux, the brave deeds of Sabrina, Detox and Rabbit Nose. The story of Idris Elba and how long it took before he got to play James Bond. Now and again – when they got to the more blatantly ludicross bits of the narratives – Plaster would ask a sceptical question to Valiant as if to say in so many words did it really happen like that, or is that possible, did it really happen in that exact way as described. And Valiant would always nod and assure her yes, it was all just as written, it was all justly rendered, all true and most accurate, it all happened just as described.

Up in Heaven Clytemnestra, Aldi and Lego saw (in forest glade pool) that Codswallop was down on Earth and present at the scene of the fire – sat weeping in her mantle of ashes beside a kitsch supposedly Persian Streetfood truck, her fine clothes damaged, her heart in disarray, her face and hands blackened by her many fruitless efforts to enter the blaze.
When they saw her in that place they guessed right away that her daughter Valiant must also be there nearby and their hearts surged or fell or skipped beats and somehow, somehow that was the straw that broke the camels’ back or whatever and finally rang the end of all their pledges to stay out of Earth forever and ‘letting things be’ ©.

Everyone knows full well the end parts of the story.
How Clytemnestra, Lego, Addidas and Aldi raised an army of the Gods to descend immediate to Earth and to Endland (sic). How at the shore near B_________ Soyuz, Carthorse and Agemamenon caused the sea to rise up directly and extinguish the flames, a tidal wave of ocean engulfing not just the Wheel of Misfortune but much of the rest of the Olde Endland Amusement Park and indeed much of B______ itself. How Monroe herself was either killed in the blaze or in the ensuing flood or else took the chance of them to slip out and slip away under cover of fire and water and night and what people called confusion.
