- About the Author
My brother, Curt, in ______ is fine. He called his work in and said he hopes to be back Wed. All roads are closed. He was at the ______ campground. I believe he went to the firehouse Sunday a.m.
My parents are in ______ and I can’t get through to them. I’m worried. Does anyone have any knowledge of the road conditions there? All the lines appear to be down. Any info would be appreciated!
All true about County Road ______ in East ______. The bridge connecting ______ Rd. to ______ is out, cutting off those people on the road. They all seem to be pulling together, gathering food and finding available propane tanks for communal meals. At the end of the road is the ______ Camp, which apparently has enough food for three days. All of this info gathered from friends on the road. As far as I know, it is not possible to get to ______ or anywhere else from the end of ______ at ______ Road, even if someone could climb down the embankment to get to a car on the other side of the failed bridge. And of course no power there or in any of the surrounding towns.

POSTCARD FROM S #3
(received upon waking in the afternoon following the third liveblog night shift)
FISH FLUNG ASHORE AND DIED. WE WERE LOVERS AND FRIENDS BUT IT WASN’T ENOUGH
RESPONSE
I wrote S a message, not exactly in response to the postcards but not exactly not in response to them. I wrote, “Dear S, what is the opposite of agoraphobia, I would like to reclaim its literal opposite from its current use, we have so many ways already to describe the love of public fucking, I want a word for love of the marketplace, by which I don’t mean the market, I know you understand, can we propose an alternate definition for agoraphilia as the love of crowds, specifically the love of the market, agora, not as a site of profit and profiteering, but as a site of mutual admission that any claim to self-sufficiency is a lie?”
