  48. About Author

The game was shorter than expected, so when we all left to head our separate ways, I felt as though the night was still so young. I looked over at Finn, who was talking to my dad about one of the players. They were spewing stats and laughing as they made fun of one of the coaches. I sighed in comfort watching the two of them.

“It’s about time you get what you deserve.” I heard Matt quietly mumble next to me.

I turned to my brother and smiled. “I think so, too.”

A small, miniscule twinge of guilt raced through me at not inviting the only other male in our family to the game. Truth be told, I still don’t think I could leave Finn in a room alone with him without someone ending up with a black eye, so it probably was for the best.

As far as Sarah went, things with her still weren’t back to normal, and I wasn’t sure when or if they ever would be. But I could be in a room with my whole family and not feel out of place, and I thought that was enough for now. All of it was thanks to Finn, the hot, albeit slightly irritating, stranger I met on a red-eye. If it weren’t for him, I would still be in Florida, wasting away my days alone.

Finn shook Dad’s hand and gave Matt a quick bro hug before putting a strong arm around my shoulders. We walked toward his car, and I smiled up at him.

“Where to now?”

“Anywhere you want, Grinchy. I’m there.”

I knew then, fate was always on my side.

THANK YOU!

I have so many people I want to thank for their help through my second book but first I want to say a big thanks to all of you! I have been absolutely blown away by all of the love and support that my debut novel received. I have learned so much from the time I released I Can Fix That in comparison to releasing Baggage Claim, and I believe that shows in the comparison of these two books.

My biggest thank you goes to my girls- the burnt pancakes. Madison, Kelsey, and Amanda, you guys are INCREDIBLE. I am so blessed to be surrounded by such talented authors and I love our friendship dearly. Here's to poorly made friendship bracelets and good Mexican food.

Emma, thank you for every late-night answer to my stupid questions. You are such an incredible friend and I am so so blessed to know you!
