“I hope it is. You deserve to have a family.” I leaned in for another kiss, hoping I could make her forget, even for just a few minutes. I wish I could give her what she wanted, but I’ve never thought a family was in the cards for me, either. But the idea of having a kid with Jane sounded amazing, and watching our little one growing up made my heart swell with contentment.

A knock on the door interrupted us, and I felt Jane tense up as she covered herself. “It’s probably the guys. They left quickly and forgot their keys.”

“Ok, I’m going to go shower and then let’s actually watch a movie,” she said, giving me a small smile as she got up, picked up her clothes, and ran into one of our bedrooms.

Chuckling, I grabbed my boxers and put them on, walking to the door.

“You guys need to make sure you….” I opened the door to see Candy.

Her eyes lit up, trailing down my body and settling on my crotch. She bit her lip like I was a meal she was ready to eat, and I didn’t know how at one point I was into her.

“Nathan,” she purred, stepping forward like she was going to come into the house.

“What do you want?” I snapped, letting all the anger I was feeling show.

“Don’t be like that.” She laid a hand on my chest, running it down my torso.

I pulled away, feeling disgusted. “I thought we told you that this was over.”

“Natie, please.” Her voice was whining, and I hated it.

“Candy, you better fucking leave.” Cal’s voice made her jump. He scowled at her for a moment, looking like his old self. It was amazing what Jane had done for him.

“Hey…..” She gave him bedroom eyes, which just looked like she was constipated.

“Leave, we already told you that this is over,” he snarled, pushing past her to get into the house.

“What the fuck? Obviously, it’s not over. Nathan and I had a great time like two weeks ago,” she said, stomping her feet like a fucking child. Shame coursed through my body at the memory of waking up in her bed and not remembering shit from that night. Everything that happened when we picked up Jane and Callum overshadowed that memory, and I instantly felt violated. Did she drug me again?

“Candy.” Aiden’s deep voice brought me out of my stupor. “Do I need to explain myself again?” He walked up to the door, looking pissed.

“Ai…. Aiden.” She sounded worried. “I was…”
