“I know. I’m sorry. It’s hard letting go, but seriously, Jane. I can’t take your money. Lucio might trace it back to you and then god knows what the hell that man would do. He’s power hungry. I’d hate for you to do something nice, only for it to come back, and bite you in the ass.”
“What if we make it look like an inheritance?” Jane suggested.
“Lucio knows we don’t have anyone.” I scoffed. “I think it’s best for everyone if I just work off my debt.”
“I’ll think of something. I just want to do something especially since I have the money to do it.” she rubbed her nose against mine and I wished I could have fucked her. My dick was on board and even though it hurt like a bitch, I grinded myself against her.
“I know, babe, but for now, let’s just get me healed up because I’m ready to fuck your brains out for being so amazing.” Jane laughed at my declaration.
She pushed me to lie on my back. “No sex, nurse’s order.” She laid next to me, careful not to hurt me.
“I can just lay back, and you can do all the work.” I grinned at her and even that hurt like a bitch.
“Are you in a lot of pain?” She must have noticed me flinch.
I didn’t want any more pain pills, but I was getting worse. “Yes.”
“Ok, I’ll be back.” Jane got up from the bed and I enjoyed the view. I didn’t realize that arguing with her had made me so tense. The weight was off my shoulders that I could keep her safe for just a little longer.

Jane
The first few days after Callum’s fight were brutal. I spent the first day figuring out ways to get him to go to the hospital. I even thought about pretending we were going to get tacos and then magically ending up at the hospital. Let’s just say that most of the ideas included food — some were also sexual favors — but I knew he suspected me every time. I didn’t let him out of bed hoping he would just rest, but he was the worst patient, constantly complaining, and trying to bribe me a few times to ride him. Aiden and Nathan stayed home too, helping with whatever we needed.
“I think you just need to give him something to knock him out. He’s whining like a little bitch.” Nathan leaned against the island in my home a few days after the fight.
I chuckled because Callum had started whining. “I know, but right now he won’t take anything more than Tylenol,” I said, making sandwiches for the guys to take home with them since I had to work tonight.
Nathan rolled his eyes. “Crush them up and put them in mayo or something.”
