We locked eyes for a moment and he nodded before looking at his friends.

“Really?” Nathan muttered. “Has he made his move yet?”

I scowled at Nathan.

“Who is making their move on, Jane?” Aiden joined us and I felt like I wanted to disappear into the background.

“Don’t start, Nathan. No one, Aiden,” I snapped. I heard Darcy snicker, and I wish she would have just kept her mouth shut.

“Is Daniel Bower making a move on you, Jane?” Aiden asked, looking over at Daniel’s group.

“He’s the one I told you about, trying to come to Jane’s rescue when we were talking out in the parking lot.” Nathan filled the guys in as he came closer to me. They were all crowding me at this point.

“You guys know Jane only has eyes for you.” Darcy tried to diffuse the situation, but I knew we were way past that.

“Do we need to show him who you belong to Jane?” Callum whispered in my ear, as he grazed the side of my breast.

“Guys, don’t be such brutes.” I was trying to say it firmly, but it came out breathy.

“I’m going to get more drinks,” Darcy said, running away, feeling like she was leaving me to the wolves. They stepped closer to me and were so much closer than what was acceptable. If someone looked our way, I don’t doubt they would think something was off. Callum’s fingers were touching dangerously close to my nipple.

“You guys are so… so… bad.” I hate how quickly I could go from zero to sixty on the horny scale. Let’s be real. I was perpetually turned on whenever the guys were around.

“Hey guys.” Hearing Evan’s voice was enough to bring me out of my sex-crazed stupor.

I turned to see Evan standing there with Dev at his side. The guys turned around to greet them, while I waved from my seat. They started talking about the up-and-coming ski season and the new ski instructor, while Dev just listened. I looked at the bar for Darcy and she was talking to some cute dude. She looked so relaxed, laughing occasionally, looking like the young twenty-seven-year-old she was. Maybe she and Evan weren’t meant to be. I looked over at Evan, and I knew he was a great guy. Breaking up with her was what he thought was best, but was it really?

“You, ok?” Dev asked me.

“Yeah, just thinking about some stuff. How are you?” I was curious about Dev.

“I’m good.” He looked around.

“Are you expecting someone?” I asked.

“No, I like to know my surroundings.” He shrugged, looking at me, and his eyes were stunning.

“You say that so ominously.” I was teasing him, but he stayed dead serious then looked away.
