“You’re crashing from all the adrenaline and you’re bleeding again,” Jane said, looking at all of our supplies. She went to work peeling off the tape, meticulously cleaning his wound. Callum stared at her like he still couldn’t believe she was here.
I pulled out a water bottle, twisting the cap so he could take a drink while Aiden took the tape off of his hands.
“I want a shower.” Cal mumbled, looking like he might pass out. He grunted as Jane closed his wound again.
“I don’t think I can convince you to go to the hospital, right?” Jane was kneeling by Cal, giving me a superb view of her delicious tits.
“No.” Aiden snapped.
Jane glared at Aiden. “Do you have a problem? I have a lot of other places I can be than here with you guys.”
“It seems weird that you are here with Lucio when not even a week ago you were with us.” Aiden threw away the bandages forcefully, almost tipping the trash over.
“You think I came here with Lucio of my own free will?” She looked shocked.
“I think…”
“We are just wanting to know what happened and why you’re here with him.” I interrupted Aiden with a quick “Hey!”. I was getting sick and tired of cleaning this guy’s messes.
“Oh, fuck you Aiden.” Jane stood up, facing Aiden like she was ready to give him a piece of her mind.
“Callum, that was amazing!” Lucio walked in clapping like the deranged fucker he was. “I can already picture having more fights here for you. The crowd loved you.”
We faced Lucio, keeping Jane in between all of us. “I didn’t realize it was going to be this legit. I’m assuming my winnings will reflect that.” Cal stood in front of Jane.
“Always thinking ahead, Cal, I love a man who keeps his future in view. Of course, but don’t forget the extra money we had to punish you with.” He cocked his head, looking at Jane. “I see that finding Jane was imperative to your fight.”
“Finding? Is that what you call it?” Jane sounded furious.
“We might have to hire Jane to attend to all of our fighters.” Lucio looked manic.
“She has a job, asshole.” I glared at him.
“I’m sure the right price..”
“Fuck no, find someone else.” Jane snarled. “I’m not someone you can just throw money at.”
“Oh, I know, darling. It looks like the money from your husband’s life insurance keeps you well kept.” He laughed as he stepped closer to us.
“How…” Jane’s voice wavered.
“I make sure I know who is hanging around all of my fighters. I keep my property safe.” He shrugged like it was common sense.
