- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
- Afterword
Our lips brush and with one last swallow, I take what’s mine. He groans and pulls me on top of him, forcing my legs to wrap around his torso. He pushes his hips upwards, finding my heat that already throbs for him. I shiver and bite his tongue after gently sucking it into my mouth.
He pins me to him, grabbing my hips so I can’t move. I didn’t even realize I was grinding on him. I wiggle in response — it’s my turn to tempt him. For the past three days, this is all he’s done to me: forgetting his T-shirt after a shower, getting out of the bath dressed only in a towel, or finding an excuse to take his shirt off.
“Please stop moving,” he growls through gritted teeth.
“Make me,” I challenge.
I don’t know where all this confidence came from, but I like it. It makes me feel powerful. Dominant.
He lifts me up as if I weigh nothing at all and flips me over on my stomach. His large hands grip mine. I shiver and try to turn to look at him. It’s almost impossible to do so from this position.
He lowers himself, his mouth tantalizing close to my ear. His breath tickles my neck and I hear him inhale as if he’s about to say something, but the sound of someone fake barfing stops us in our tracks.
Elias looks up, not yet letting go of my hands.
“Ew,” a young female voice says. Shitty timing, Olivia.
Elias lets me go and we stand up to see her putting a finger in her mouth while sticking her tongue out.
“Listen, I’m happy for you, but could we not let this happen again? Like ever?” A disgusted look washes over her features and I just stand there, not saying a word.
“Yes, ma’am,” Elias jokes, straightening his back like in the military. “Although maybe just knock next time.”
“Ugh, my poor eyes.” She hugs us both. “Why do you look like you’re constipated?” she asks me.
I laugh at that, tensions easing. I feel bad for not telling her about us, but I don’t even know what I could’ve said. Your brother and I kissed and this fake relationship might not be fake anymore? Or whatever this is?
We’ve never put a name to it. We haven’t even had the time to. The last few days have passed in a blur of making out, work, and home hunting.
“I guess I’m just surprised to see you here so soon,” I shrug.
We all laugh, and Elias puts his hand on the small of her back. “Come on, I want to show you something.”
Olivia follows without complaint, and I amble behind. She turns to mouth never again at me. I chuckle and shake my head.
