- Don't miss out!
I couldn’t help but smile. He didn’t reply back, so I was sure I pissed him off. I set my phone down and drifted off to sleep until I was awoken by the grunts and moans of two people down the hall. I pulled the pillow over my head and tried to go back to sleep. Before I knew it, the alarm went off and I could barely get out of bed.
****
Shit. Shit. Shit. I ran into the building and saw someone getting on the elevator. “Hold that door,” I yelled.
I thanked the nice man and looked at the time on my phone. It was 8:01. Shit. I pushed the button to the twentieth floor. The elevator stopped on the tenth floor and, as soon as the man exited, I pushed the close button like a wild animal. Finally arriving on the twentieth floor, the doors opened and I was immediately greeted by a beautiful redhead behind a large cherry wood desk.
“Is he in there?” I asked as I ran past her.
“Yes. Good luck,” she said.
I stopped as I got to the door and took in a deep breath. As I turned the knob and lightly pushed it open, I saw Simon standing behind his desk, looking out the enormous window.
“You’re late,” he said without even turning around to see who it was.
“Sorry. I had a rough night.”
“So having a rough night is an excuse to be late? And why was it so rough? What happened?”
“It’s hard to get any sleep when your roommate and her married boy toy are fucking nonstop all night.”
That caught his attention. He turned around and looked at me with a sly grin. “Did it make you horny?”
“Excuse me?” The nerve of this man and the things that flew out of his mouth.
He slowly slithered his way over to where I was standing, his hands in his pockets and a fire in his beautiful blue eyes. He looked way too damn sexy in his expensive black suit.
“Did you touch yourself?” He lightly placed his finger under my chin and, suddenly, I was frozen.
I gulped. “No.”
“Why not? Didn’t it excite you in the least to hear two people having sex so close to you?”
I gulped again. “Maybe.”
“Then why didn’t you touch yourself?”
I snapped out of my trance. This was none of his business and he was making me uncomfortable. At least my mind was uncomfortable. I couldn’t speak for other areas of my body.
“I’m not discussing this with you any further. Now, why did you summon me here?”
He flashed his sexy smile at me and turned around and went back to his desk.
“Coffee?” he asked.
“Please,” I replied as I sat down.
He called his secretary, Nell, and told her to bring in two coffees.
“Your proposal was brilliant.”
“Really?” I asked with a hint of excitement.
