- Don't miss out!
“Yes. Tomorrow morning will be fine,” I said as I gave G a thumbs-up.
“Great. I’ll see you then. I’ll include the address of our building in the email I’m sending you.”
“Thank you, Peter. I’ll see you tomorrow.”
“Bye, Gabrielle.”
I hit the end button and G reached over and gave me a hug. “Things are already moving in your favor, sweetie. I’m so happy for you.”
“Don’t get too excited. I don’t have the job yet.”
“Positivity is the key. Stay positive. The job is yours. Who could resist you?” She pouted while her fingers deftly played with the ends of my hair.
“Umm...Brendon?”
She rolled her eyes. “Dickwad doesn’t count. He wouldn’t know a good woman if she properly sucked his cock.”
“G!” I exclaimed and then began to laugh.
“What? It’s the truth. I’m going to take a shower and then we’re going shopping.”
“We are?” I asked in confusion.
“Yes. You need a new outfit for your interview tomorrow. So get off your ass and go get ready. On our way to the store, I’ll tell you all about my magical night with Donovan.”
Gee. I can hardly wait.

Chapter 7
I stepped into the building of Young International and took the glass elevator that sat in the middle of the lobby up to the sixteenth floor. The interior of the building was magnificent and almost of the same style décor as the hotel that held the gala. I was a nervous wreck and worried about if I looked okay. The black crew neck, sleeveless dress I was wearing hugged my curves and sat an inch above my knee. It was paired with the perfect black pointy-toe and four-inch stiletto heels. G called it my power outfit. As I stepped off the elevator, the redhead behind the curved desk asked if she could help me.
“I have an interview with Peter Landry.”
“Ah yes. You must be Miss McCarthy. Have a seat over there and I’ll let him know you’re here.”
I politely smiled and took a seat in one of the many plush chairs that sat against the wall. A few moments later, a man in a navy blue tailored suit was walking down the hall.
“Gabrielle McCarthy?” He smiled.
I stood up and lightly shook his hand.
“I’m Peter. It’s nice to meet you.”
“It’s nice to meet you as well,” I replied nervously.
“Follow me and we’ll go to my office.”
He led me down the long hallway and around the corner. When we reached his office, he told me to take a seat and he shut the door. Once he made himself comfortable, he offered me something to drink, and when I declined, he began the interview process.
