- Don't miss out!
“I’m throwing an engagement party for Giana and Donovan and I wanted to invite you. That is, if you’d like to come.” I smiled.
“I’d love to. When is it?”
“I don’t know yet. I’m still trying to find a place to have it. The apartment is too small, but I placed a call to that restaurant, The Rooftop, to see if they could accommodate us for next Saturday, but they haven’t gotten back with me yet.”
“Have the party at my place,” he spoke.
“That’s nice of you, but no. I couldn’t.”
“Why not? I have more than enough room, especially in the backyard. They’re my friends too. Let me do this for them. You still plan everything. I have a great event coordinator that will work with you if you’re interested.”
“Really? You’re serious?”
“Of course I am. It’ll be fun. Her name is Sabrina and I’ve used her for years. She’s good. I’ll give her a call and have her call you.”
“Thank you, Simon.”
“You’re welcome, Gabrielle. Now I need to run. I have a meeting to get to.” He smiled as he winked at me.
Shit. That look. That wink. That smile. I crossed my legs because the Simon ache was back with a vengeance.

Chapter 33
I pulled up to the gates that sat in front of Simon’s house and alerted his staff I was there. When I pulled up, Sabrina got out of her car.
“Gabrielle, it’s so nice to meet you.”
“Thank you. It’s nice to meet you too. Thank you for helping me out.”
“Oh, please. When Simon calls, I drop everything.” She laughed.
She was a beautiful woman with long, straight black hair that looked like silk and jade color eyes. My mind couldn’t help but wonder if Simon ever fucked her. We walked through the house and to the backyard. We sat down at the table and Sabrina summoned over one of Simon’s maids.
“Could you please bring us a couple of cosmopolitans?” she asked.
“Coming right up, Miss Sabrina.”
“If we’re going to plan a party, we might as well get our drink on while we do it.” She winked. “Since it’s for an engagement, I think we should do a ‘white’ party. White tents, white lights, white tablecloths, white candles, and perhaps even a few swans to swim in the pool.”
“All that sounds amazing, but I think it may be a bit out of my budget.”
“Oh, please,” she said with the wave of her hand. “The entire party is on Simon. He told me to spare no expense.”
“What?” I pulled out my phone.
“There is no way I’m letting you pay for the party.”
I set down my phone and waited for his reply as a cosmopolitan was set down in front of me.
