- Don't miss out!
“Good seeing you too, Gabrielle. Have a good day.” He jogged away and I put my earphone back in and turned the volume up on my music as my day was now completely ruined. He was happy and I was miserable and I had no one to blame except myself.

“How did your girls’ weekend go?” Dr. Roberts asked.
“Eventful. I slept with Simon.”
“What? Did he go with you?”
“No. He was there on business and we ran into each other at the hotel.” I lied, but there was no way I was telling him what I did.
“And how do you feel?”
“Like shit. He has a girlfriend.”
“Hmm...Did the two of you talk about it?”
“We both agreed it was a mistake and it won’t happen again.”
“Do you regret breaking things off with him?”
“I think so. I miss him. I miss seeing him every day and I miss having his arms around me.”
“Then tell him. It’s clear that your forgiveness has cleared your head and you now see him as the man he is. The man you grew to love.”
“I can’t tell him. It would only complicate things. He’s in a relationship and I can’t ruin that. It’s not fair. He deserves to be happy.”
“You don’t think you deserve to be happy?”
“I think I do, but not with him.”
“You wanted a friendship with the man you once loved and still love. That can complicate things and I told you that when you told me the two of you were going to remain friends. There’s too much chemistry between the both of you and your friendship will be a constant struggle.”
I didn’t reply as the bell went off and I got up and left his office.

Chapter 35
The week went by fast and I was kept busy between the coffee shop and Sabrina, who kept me on alert of any little change for the party. G and I had gone shopping and I bought a white, strapless, scalloped-lace, flared, short dress. G practically stopped breathing when I tried it on and I knew it was the one. Simon hadn’t been in the coffee shop all week and I sent him a couple of text messages, but he never replied. He must have been busy with his new girlfriend. I had wondered if he’d bring her to the party. If he did, I didn’t know how I would be able to stand it. My eyes started to fill with tears as I stared at myself in the mirror.
“Get him back,” G said as she grasped my shoulders.
“It’s too late.”
“It’s never too late for anything you want in life. You’ve been moping around since Vegas. Whether you want to admit it or not, you’re not complete without him.”
