- Don't miss out!
I sat there, confused. Was he really that pissed that I didn’t go up to his office? Was he that much of a control freak? Shaking my head, I turned my chair around and looked out the window. What the fuck did I get myself into and why was he making me go to Vegas so soon? Katie set the file on my desk and I asked her to shut the door on her way out. I didn’t want to be disturbed, since I only had two days to prepare for a meeting I knew nothing about. As I opened the file and studied it, it seemed that Young International was looking to renovate a lower-class hotel. But why? After a few hours, Katie walked in my office with a salad from the café down the street. After I finished eating, I walked down to Peter’s office, only to discover he wasn’t in today.
It was five o’clock and Katie slowly opened the door and poked her head in.
“Gabby, I’m leaving for the night. I’ll see you in the morning.”
“Okay. Have a good night and thanks for all your help today.”
“No problem.”
She left the door open and I continued to look over the enormous file Simon had given me and put together a proposal. While I was engrossed in my work, I heard someone clear their throat. I looked up and saw Simon standing in the doorway.
“What are you still doing here? It’s seven o’clock.”
“Working,” I said as I looked back down at the papers.
He walked in and took the seat across from my desk. “I didn’t mean for you to overwork yourself.”
“Why are you here, Simon?”
“Excuse me?”
“My office is horseshit, remember? You couldn’t get out of here fast enough earlier.”
“First of all, I didn’t say your office was horseshit. I said that feng shui is horseshit and you made me mad earlier.”
I closed the file, hit the print button on my computer, and got up from my seat to collect the papers I had printed. I couldn’t look at him because I was still pissed about earlier in the day and I didn’t like that he called feng shui horseshit. I took the papers from the printer and put them in a manila folder. I threw the folder down in front of him.
“My two days of preparation is done. Thanks to what you call horseshit.” I grabbed my purse, and before I walked out the door, I turned and looked at Simon.
“Have a good night, Mr. Young.”

Chapter 12
When I arrived home, I heard noises coming from the kitchen. I set down my purse and when I walked in, I was privy to Donovan and G’s make-out session on the kitchen counter.
“Really? You have a bedroom right down the hall.”
“Hi, Gabby.” Donovan smiled.
