Morgan gritted his teeth. How could Dolan look at those photos and act so nonchalant? These were people, for heavens sake. Did the man have ice water in his veins?

Its what were trying to figure out, Dr. Dolan. Did you know any of these women? If Danielles gaze could have cut glass, it would have.

He glanced at the photos and shrugged. Id worked a little with Windham and Id seen Olson around the hospital. The third one I dont recognize at all.

That was all he had to say? No concern for these young women or horror over what had happened to them? Morgans hands balled into fists under the table.

Look, Dolan finally said, breaking the silence that Danielle had let drag on. Ive seen the news. I know youve got three women dead who all worked at Georgetown at some point. It hasnt got anything to do with me. Janet left three days ago and I crawled inside a bottle of Scotch and only came out this morning.

Based on the way his hands were shaking, he hadnt crawled too far out of it. Maybe it wasnt ice water in his veins. Maybe it was liquor.

Dolan sat back in his chair. I cant help you.

Morgan wasnt buying any of it. Dolan was lying. Youre telling us that youve been blind drunk for three days, but you recognize two of these women?

Thats exactly what Im saying, Stark. Dolan smirked.

That was it. Hed had it. Be a man, Dolan. Own your actions. You harassed all three of these women and then when it cost you your job and your marriage, you got revenge on them. You used their instincts to help the injured to lure them into a vulnerable position and then you murdered them. He was on his feet now, leaning over the table and yelling into Dolans face.

Now Danielle was on her feet, too. Morgan, be quiet.

He couldnt stop, though. Lexa was worth ten of you. More. Probably each one of these women was.

Danielle gave him a hard shove toward the door. Out.

He turned to stare at her. Her face was alight with anger and frustration. I said out.

Dolans smirk got bigger. Morgan wanted to wipe it off his face, but realized he wasnt going to win this one, or at least not right then. He held his hands up in front of himself. Im going. He stomped to the door. But Im not finished with you, Dolan. Not by a long shot.

Out! Danielle said. Now!

The agent Danielle had called Mick opened the door for Morgan and Danielle flung it shut behind him. The agent gave him a nod and then took up his post in front of the door again.
