Every day was a challenge. And there is nothing like the real, true feeling that you are surviving every minute to really bring life into focus. You may have gotten a kind of simulated taste of this feeling from your stint on Who Da Fool? when you had sex with the gym teacher from New Jersey.
But it's sort of the exact opposite of that drunken club life here. Which is so hard on sexualizing young girls, who are just getting their strength when they're totally taken advantage of. Speaking of, are you still dating that DJ/ Gossip Columnist and just sort of keeping it light like he wanted to? How fun! That is so cute. What a cute couple I bet you are. I am so psyched for you! Do you think it's actually going to go somewhere this time?
Speaking of Hollywood. Hey. Guess what. I wrote my first full-length screenplay! Its called Devil's Dogs. I'm here copying that too. Yes, let it be known! Ha! With so much pain in the world it's so good to know I have that, you know?
Well, it's sort of amazing how it happened. I think it was perhaps the night that I was helping some young Afghani children to safety from a bombing in their township that I fell in love with screenwriting. I ran into the Doctors Without Borders hospital, and guess who was there but Sebastian, who was just on an exploratory tour, but also volunteering with local refugee camps. In our spare time he gave me a concentrated, rigorous short writing Master Class.
We spent some time with him, but then Bertrand and I went on through the countryside. He and I just shared our energy and spoke about how there is such hardship here and what we wanted to express to the people back in our countries. And we whipped up a whole outline of Devil's Dogs. We went hiking to a beach in a beautiful part of the country that our confining propagandistic media would never show of Afghanistan. Bikna made us some traditional pashjabi and we ate it in our tent, looking up at the stars. Then she lit some small gas lanterns around our tent, casting a beautiful red romantic glow. And we slept; up there. For a few days . . .
OK, well now you know, and for obvious reasons it's just really really important that you don't tell anyone. I mean pretty much everyone I have told is in the industry, so they sort of inherently know that huge huge photojournalists like Bertrand need to keep their personal lives completely quiet. So if it leaks to the Star or anywhere that we're dating then we'll know you leaked it!
Just jokin', no big whoop. But, you know, at the same time. Keep it on the DL, OK?
