- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
RB: A raptor or T-Rex might be the obvious choice. You think they could protect you because they’re tough and feared. Revered beasts of the old world. In reality, I think those two would make you a target.
RB: You don’t think the Iguanodons would gang up on the big, bad guys? They totally would.
RB: With that being said, I think the Brontosaurus would be the way to go. One of those guys (or gals) would be friends with all the dinosaurs, thus eliminating any potential enemies.
RB: No enemies = greatest chance of survival.
RB: But if I needed to pick one for a fight, I’d take the Stegosaurus.
JD: Holy fuck.
RB: ???
JD: Holy fucking shit.
RB: Why all the goddamn expletives?
JD: I’m speechless. Never in my wildest dreams did I suspect I would get such a thorough and extravagant answer to that asinine question.
RB: Someone’s showing off their SAT vocabulary.
RB: Did you think I wouldn’t play along?
RB: I can’t tell you how long I’ve waited for someone to ask me what dinosaurs I want as a friend.
JD: You’re mocking me.
RB: I’m not! I swear!
RB: Tell me your answer.
JD: I’m embarrassed to share after your stellar picks.
RB: Come on!
RB: Pleaseeeeeee?
JD: I’d pick the Triceratops. They were always my favorite in The Land Before Time.
RB: I loved that movie! I haven’t seen it in forever!
JD: Maybe after we meet we could have a movie night.
JD: Construct a fort. There’s gotta be a tent too, obviously. We’ll make popcorn. Eat junk food until the wee hours of the morning.
JD: Break out our Tamagotchis and relive the 90s while watching one of the greatest cinematic achievements of our time.
JD: …Man, I’m good with crossing lines, aren’t I?
RB: To be honest…
JD: I think we need to establish a rule. From now on, we’ll promise to be honest, open, and share whatever the hell we’re thinking, no matter the consequences or repercussions.
JD: We don’t have anything to lose, so why not?
JD: Ready when you are, Sunflower.
RB: You’re right.
RB: It sounds like a great plan. Perfect, really. I’d love to have a fort movie night with you. But only if we get the movie theater butter popcorn.
JD: Is there an option besides movie theater butter? We’re on the same wavelength with that one.
RB: I should probably get back to work. I’ve been staring at my phone for 30 minutes.
JD: Sorry. I know you’re busy.
JD: I didn’t mean to interfere with your day.
RB: You can interfere with my day whenever you’d like.
RB: Especially when it involves dinosaurs. See you in six days!

September 28th
RB: What was your favorite subject in school?
JD: Math. My brain has always enjoyed numbers.
