- ABOUT THE AUTHOR
P.P.S. My good thing of the day was a slice of pizza. Greasy. Cheesy. Delicious. What was yours?

JD,
Do you have any secret hidden talents a girlfriend would know about? I wish I could sing like Rihanna, but alas, I cannot.
I’m surprised my shower walls haven’t cracked from the shrill flatness of my voice. I’m trying to think if there’s anything cool in my repertoire.
Oh! I can lick my elbow!
No one has ever asked me to demonstrate said gift, so maybe I should think of something else.
I guess I could also just say I’m the real Peter Parker. Web-slinging would be an awesome party trick.
Fighting crime one street at a time,
RB
P.S. It’s impossible to rank my fellow friendly neighborhood Spidey, but if you’re forcing me to answer, it would be Miles Morales. Wait. Tom. Shoot. Tobey. Andrew? Ughhhh.
P.P.S. Today my good thing was sleeping all the way until my alarm went off and getting to snooze for ten extra minutes.

RB,
It’s now mandatory I hear you sing one of these days. Maybe when we’re baking cupcakes and you’re bossing me around. If you tell my mother you got me to cook, she’ll think I’m locked down for life.
Please don’t call me an idiot sandwich.
I’d buckle under pressure.
Okay. Secret talents. I can bowl. I played other sports growing up and was a college athlete, but bowling is probably my favorite hobby. I once rolled a 293—the closest I’ve come to a perfect game. With my lack of free time these days, I’d definitely need the gutters up.
Sparingly & strikingly,
JD
P.S. What if you’re throwing me off your trail and you’re actually Batman? Can I ride in the Batmobile? Pretty please?
P.P.S. A solo run without music, nothing but trees and sidewalk with me. My good thing.

Subject: Happy anniversary!
Date: September 18
JD,
Happy two-week anniversary!
I didn’t get you a present.
Don’t hate me.
Speaking of anniversaries, we only have a month until the event. We can shift this to text messaging if you want. Totally okay if not, just thought I’d offer since we exchange quite a few emails. If you feel so inclined, here’s my number.
834-247-2400
Don’t worry, it’s a third-party app thing. You won’t find me on Google with that!
Empty-handedly,
RB
P.S. Plot twist: I’m Superman.
P.P.S. Puppy kisses. A very, very good thing.
