Kelsey smiled as she looked down at the baby full of love, and I knew I wasn’t far behind her. I already knew I would protect her at all costs from anyone who messed with her. So, no boyfriends until she’s thirty, maybe even forty. Kelsey and I admired the baby as everyone worked to get Kelsey comfortable and ready to be moved into the postpartum section of the hospital.

“I’ll tell Aiden and Nathan where to find you guys.” Jane squeezed my arm before she left and they took us to another room. They wheeled Kelsey in with the baby and someone quickly took her away. I was about to say something when Kelsey grabbed my arm.

“They are just checking her over since we didn’t have a pediatric nurse downstairs,” Kelsey said. She smiled at me, looking exhausted. I looked over to where they were wiping her down and measuring her, moving a little close to watch just to make sure they were gentle with her.

“It’s ok, daddy, we are just checking vitals, weight, and measuring her.” The nurse looked at me like she was used to this kind of behavior.

“Uh… I’m her uncle,” I said, feeling a little awkward.

“Oh! I’m sorry.” The nurse blushed.

“Dad isn’t in the picture.” Kelsey said from across the room.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to assume anything.” She continued her assessment of the baby as she kept glancing at me.

“Alright, here she is,” the nurse said, handing Kelsey the baby, who looked like a burrito. “I’m going to go get you some food. Would you like something as well?”

“Uh, no, just my sister’s food.” My focus was on Kelsey and the baby.

“Ok, I’ll be right back,” she grinned.

“God, can we go anywhere without you getting hit on?” Kelsey looked irritated. “I would have told her I’m taken. It’s not my fault. I didn’t even try anything.” I shrugged, feeling weird that I got hit on.

“Wow,” Kelsey said, looking surprised. “Can we thank Jane for this change in you? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you turn down anyone, or look less interested. Does this mean she’s taking you guys back?”

“I don’t know exactly where we stand, but we talked,” I said, appreciating that Kelsey was so open to our relationship.

“Good. I hope you don’t think you need to stop groveling and giving her orgasms all day long.”

I laughed. “I’m sure we can’t do it all day long, but I think we can get close.”

“Well, between the three of you, I don’t see that being—”

A knock interrupted Kelsey, and I walked over to see Aiden and Nathan as I opened the door.

“Is she ok?” Nathan looked anxious.
