“When we all sleep together, I promise you it will fucking ruin you. Are you ready for that?” Aiden helped me stand, tilting my chin up.

Goosebumps peppered my skin. Was I ready for that?

I went with the truth. “I don’t know.”

“You need to think long and hard about this. We won’t force you into anything. You hold all the cards, Jane, remember that.” Callum walked towards us. “You need to decide how you want this to go, and what kind of hand you’d like to play because I promise you, we will ruin you.” He gave me an innocent peck on the lips and walked away. I stared after him, appreciating his body.

“We want you, Jane, and we will take you anyway we can, but we would love to do it together.” Aiden pecked me on the lips and walked away. What was I getting myself into?

* * *

I walked into the hospital for my shift the following evening, still feeling unsure about the guys. I mulled over what Callum and Aiden had said, making me even more nervous about what would happen if all of us were together. Would people accept our relationship? What would people say? If our relationship was just us, I think I wouldn’t have a problem with it. When I thought about my family’s reaction, it made me feel even worse.

Shaking off my doubts, I started my shift with restocking supplies and helping the previous nurse clean a few rooms. I was printing discharge papers when my phone started ringing. I took a glance at it, seeing it was Callum. It was around midnight, so I was unsure what the call was for, so I let it go to voicemail. I felt my phone vibrate about five more times as I discharged my patient. Irritated, I looked at my phone, realizing all the guys had called me and there was a text from Callum.

SOS. Please call me back.

I felt uneasy as I walked to the breakroom to call him. He answered it on the first ring.

“Fuck!!!” someone screamed.

“Jane, Kelsey is in labor.” Callum’s panicked voice came through.

“Are you timing her contractions?” I asked, feeling a little relieved.

“Yes, they are seven minutes apart.” He sounded worried. Another yell came through the phone. “They are lasting forty-five seconds.”

“Where are you?” I asked, going back to the nurses’ station to get Labor and Delivery ready.

“Three minutes out.” He sounded muffled, and then a thud sounded.

“Shit, fuck, dammit.” Silence. “Jane?”

“I’m here. Are you ok?” I asked, dialing L&D.

“I dropped my phone. Ok, I’m about to turn into the parking lot.”

I looked around for the ER doctor.

“Ok, we’re pulling up to the emergency door.” Another loud moan erupted and that did not sound like it was seven minutes ago.

I hung up the phone to L&D when no one answered.
