No matter what was thrown at Jane, she persevered. She didn’t hesitate to protect us, argue with us, or care for us. We helped Nathan get to her car, and I couldn’t help but keep looking at her. I knew we didn’t deserve her, hell I knew I didn’t deserve her. Without her, life would be dreary and dull, and nothing would ever live up to the time we had with her.

Before she got into the car, I pulled her in for a kiss, hoping it showed her how much she meant to me without saying it out loud. I knew I should have said something, but I didn’t even know if I could say anything at all to her. Once we figured out this shit, and we weren’t worried about Lucio, I would tell her.

Once I released her, Cal also had to get his kiss in, too. I stepped back, looking away to give them some privacy, but the way he was kissing her seemed like a goodbye. His face showed he was in pain. This whole situation was really hurting him. He pulled away as Evan joked about us having an orgy out here. If we had time and we weren’t in this circumstance, I think having sex outside would be a great idea. She got into the car as we made our way inside. I closed the door, about to walk to my bedroom for a shower, when Cal exhaled loudly.

I turned around, seeing him looking up at the ceiling.

“It’s going to be ok, Cal. Evan is with them.”

“I love her.” He looked at him. “I don’t want to lose her, but I can’t just sit here and hope something doesn’t happen.”

“You love her?” I asked, because I didn’t think Cal could love someone. He was the most guarded out of all of us. He always said he had enough love from Kelsey, and that being in a relationship wasn’t for him.

“Yes, I love her. It’s dangerous here, and she needs to just get the fuck out of here.” Callum snarled. “She needs to go back to Dallas.”

“We can’t just send her packing,” I said, knowing where he was coming from, but knew this was a bad idea to even bring it up to her.

“Nathan agreed he wanted her gone. What else do we have to do to convince you?” Callum paced.

“I just think we are rushing into this.” I said, frustrated, because once he got an idea in his head, he was going to see it to the end.

“You knew this would not last, anyway.” Cal snapped. “I mean how long..”

I interrupted him. “I’m tired of this, and she just needs to leave...”
