Callum glared at Dev like he wanted to kill him. I noticed Kelsey looking at Dev with interest, and I was all for it.

“We should get going too,” I said, grabbing Callum’s hand so Kelsey could decide without her brother being an ass. I noticed Darcy looking completely engrossed with whatever conversation she was having with that guy—his name wasn’t memorable, but I hoped he would show her a good time.

“Thanks, I’d like that.” I heard Kelsey say to Dev.

“Jane, she doesn’t need…” I kissed Callum, silencing whatever he was going to say.

“She’s a big girl,” I said, noticing that Kelsey took my distraction seriously and left with Dev.

He rolled his eyes. “I don’t think I like you and Kelsey conspiring together.”

Nathan chuckled, coming closer to us. “Kelsey is a grown-ass woman; you need to loosen up a bit.”

“She left with Dev. He’s the last person I trust her with,” Callum grumbled.

“He’s trustworthy, he’s just as stuck as you are and he would be far away from here under different circumstances,” Evan joined our conversation.

“Callum doesn’t like anyone who shows an interest in Kelsey,” Aiden grinned. “Guy could be perfect for her, and he would still hate him.”

Callum muttered something, and the guys bantered back and forth as we said goodbye to Darcy. As we were leaving the bar, I spotted Candy in the corner, alone.

“I forgot something, give me a second,” I muttered, pulling away from the guys. I heard them protest, but I was on a mission. I weaved through the crowd until I reached her. She was looking at her phone and she didn’t see me coming until I leaned against the bar next to her.

“What the fuck do you want?” she snarled at me, but looked around me for the guys.

“I was just making sure you weren’t going to drug someone else and take them home to take advantage of them.” I smiled as sweetly as I could muster.

“Oh, fuck you,” she snapped. “The guys always came home willingly with me and trust me, Nathan wanted to rail me that night. They always wanted me until you fucking came along.”

I wanted to punch her in the face, but I knew she was just baiting me. “While I’m sure they were that way before we met, I think you can’t take no for an answer. I swear, next time you come near my men with a drink, I’m going to make sure the police department knows how much of a conniving nefarious bitch you are.”

She got out of her seat, pushing the chair backwards with such force that it fell. “You don’t have any fucking proof.” Her voice was a loud shrill.

“Oh, I do. Two hospital visits,” I lied, but she didn’t know that.
